Please note that a secondary account can only be created on your primary mobile device. Once created, you can link companion devices to this secondary account, but account switching can only be performed on mobile companion devices. Do not switch your WhatsApp account frequently across different devices, as this may trigger official account bans and prevent you from re-verifying your account.

Steps to Create a Second WhatsApp Account on iPhone

The setup process is highly straightforward and can be completed in just a few steps:

  1. Open WhatsApp and tap your profile picture in the bottom right corner.
  2. Tap “Account” > “Add Account”.
  3. Tap “Agree and Continue”, and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  4. Select your country/region and enter your second phone number in international format.

  • Steps: Tap “Settings” > “Account” > “Delete Account” (you may also choose to change your number instead). Enter your country code and phone number, select a reason for deletion, and confirm.
  • Precautions: A deleted account will be permanently erased from WhatsApp and all connected devices. The system will wipe your message history, remove you from all WhatsApp groups, and delete your associated backups as well as any channels you have created.
